GMS provides global workforce management and tax compliance services to 2500+ clients with thousands of assignees deployed around the globe. Services include departure and arrival counseling; tax return preparations in home and host countries; tax filing, equalization and reconciliation;correspondence with tax authorities; and operational reporting against contractual service level metrics.

The Solution

Project Summary

  • 4-month study to recommend future direction for an integrated, automated solution that supports growth objectives and current/future business requirements, alleviates current technical challenges.
  • GMS challenged us to present an innovative, “future proof” solution and transformation approach that would maintain business continuity and minimize disruption (i.e., “change the tires while the car is in motion”)
  • We developed guiding principles and conducted workshops / working sessions with participants across the globe to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the business operates globally, along with the technology challenges & constraints
  • We recommended a multi-year transformation program with a compelling ROI and case for action. GMS endorsed our recommendations, budget approval is pending
  • Deliverables included business requirements; build/buy recommendations;
    state-of-the-art technical and data architecture models and integration strategy; deployment and organizational change approach; cost / benefit case and ROI model
