Role Overview
KT2i is seeking an Analysis & Simulation Engineering Intern to support engineering initiatives related to heavy equipment systems. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside engineering professionals on structured projects and technical assignments. The internship duration is expected to last between 6 months and 1 year.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering staff on projects outlined in an individualized intern training plan.
- Support analysis, simulation, and design activities related to heavy equipment systems.
- Work independently and as part of a team with engineers, designers, and production personnel.
- Assist with ad hoc engineering projects as assigned.
- Support installation, testing, and analysis of components or complete machines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active student in good academic standing with at least 60 credit hours completed toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD drafting tools or related design software.
- Ability to identify and understand components of drive systems, control systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of design and installation processes, with the ability to assist in testing and analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation.
- Working knowledge of algebra, probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.

This internship is designed to provide practical engineering experience in a professional environment and is expected to last between six months and one year.
