Role Overview
KT2i is seeking a Facility Maintenance Coordinator to ensure the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of company facilities and grounds. This role is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance activities, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. The Coordinator also consolidates audit data across multiple locations and supports remote maintenance coordination when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate maintenance requests, prioritize tasks, and process work assignments within a CMMS.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance support.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and subcontractors performing maintenance work.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment.
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
- Conduct daily and weekly inspections of building interiors and exteriors to identify issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations related to maintenance operations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and internal customer concerns.
- Support 6S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Conduct local 6S audits, record results, and compile audit data from remote sites for reporting.
- Consolidate audit reports across multiple locations for submission to leadership.
- Remotely coordinate maintenance requests and contractor activities for offsite locations during extended absences.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma with 3–5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree or technical school training preferred.
- Journeyman Electrical certification preferred.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 5% for training or maintenance support.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience supporting 6S or similar continuous improvement initiatives.
